Panasonic releases 24-105mm f/4, 50mm f/1.4 and 70-200mm f/4 lenses

After the launch of their full frame S1 and S1R cameras, Panasonic has also released three new lenses to go along with the cameras.

  • 50mm f/1.4
  • 70-200mm f/4 OIS
  • 24-105mm f/4 OIS macro

The lenses utilize the new Leica L mount which is specifically designed for the new full frame Panasonic mirrorless cameras.

The 50mm is the center piece of the trio and has 13 elements in 11 groups with a 77mm filter diameter. The lens does not have optical image stabilization.

The 70-200mm has 23 elements in 17 groups and the same 77mm front filter diameter. This lens does feature OIS.

Last of the bunch is the 24-105mm macro lens with a minimum focusing distance of 30cm. It has 16 elements in 13 groups and the same 77mm filter thread as the other two lenses so you should be able to swap out any filters between them. This lens also has OIS.

These are the first 3 of a planned 10 lenses by the year 2020 for the Leica L mount. The shipping dates for buyers is estimated April 2019.
