Leica C-Lux vs Panasonic ZS15

The Leica C-Lux comes with outer measurements of 113mm x 67mm x 46mm (4.4" x 2.6" x 1.8") with a weight of 340 grams (0.75 lbs) whilst the Panasonic ZS15 has specifications of 105mm x 58mm x 33mm (4.1" x 2.3" x 1.3") accompanied by a weight of 208 grams (0.46 lbs).

Looking at dimensions and weight, the portability rating of the C-Lux and ZS15 is 85 and 92 respectively.

More often than not, its difficult to see the difference between sensor dimensions merely by reviewing technical specs. The image here should provide you a much better sense of the sensor sizing in the C-Lux and ZS15.

As you can tell, both of the cameras offer different megapixel count and different sensor dimensions. The C-Lux using its larger sensor will make getting bokeh less difficult and the Leica C-Lux will deliver greater detail having an extra 8 Megapixels. Greater resolution will also enable you to crop pics a little more aggressively. The fresher C-Lux is going to have an advantage when it comes to sensor tech.
