Its time to take a more detailed look at the Canon S100 and Sony A57, former is a Small Sensor Compact while the other is a Entry-Level DSLR by companies Canon and Sony. There is a considerable difference among the sensor resolutions of the S100 (12MP) and A57 (16MP) and the S100 (1/1.7") and A57 (APS-C) come with different sensor size.
