Leica D-Lux 7 vs Leica V-Lux 5 Overview
In this write-up, we are evaluating the Leica D-Lux 7 versus Leica V-Lux 5, one is a Large Sensor Compact and the other is a Large Sensor Superzoom and both are offered by Leica. The sensor resolution of the D-Lux 7 (17MP) and the V-Lux 5 (20MP) is fairly well matched but the D-Lux 7 (Four Thirds) and V-Lux 5 (1") use totally different sensor sizing.

The D-Lux 7 was manufactured 14 months prior to the V-Lux 5 making the cameras a generation away from one another. Both the cameras offer different body type with the Leica D-Lux 7 being a Large Sensor Compact camera and the Leica V-Lux 5 being a SLR-like (bridge) camera.
