Following is a extensive review of the Nikon L100 and Nikon P1000, both Small Sensor Superzoom cameras and both of them are designed by Nikon. There is a substantial difference among the image resolutions of the L100 (10MP) and P1000 (16MP) but they use the same exact sensor sizing (1/2.3").
