Olympus E-P1 vs Sony A57 Overview
In this write-up, we are looking at the Olympus E-P1 and Sony A57, one being a Entry-Level Mirrorless and the other is a Entry-Level DSLR by rivals Olympus and Sony. There is a significant difference between the sensor resolutions of the E-P1 (12MP) and A57 (16MP) and the E-P1 (Four Thirds) and A57 (APS-C) possess different sensor sizing.

The E-P1 was announced 4 years prior to the A57 and that is quite a sizable gap as far as tech is concerned. Each of the cameras offer different body type with the Olympus E-P1 being a Rangefinder-style mirrorless camera and the Sony A57 being a Compact SLR camera.
