Below is a thorough analysis of the Panasonic 3D1 and Ricoh CX2, former being a Small Sensor Compact while the latter is a Small Sensor Superzoom by companies Panasonic and Ricoh. There is a large difference between the image resolutions of the 3D1 (12MP) and CX2 (9MP) but both cameras offer the identical sensor sizing (1/2.3").
