Panasonic LX100 vs Panasonic LX5

The Panasonic LX100 provides exterior dimensions of 115mm x 66mm x 55mm (4.5" x 2.6" x 2.2") and a weight of 393 grams (0.87 lbs) while the Panasonic LX5 has sizing of 110mm x 65mm x 43mm (4.3" x 2.6" x 1.7") along with a weight of 271 grams (0.60 lbs).

The LX100 because of its larger sensor will make achieving shallower DOF less difficult and the Panasonic LX100 will produce extra detail as a result of its extra 3MP. Greater resolution will also enable you to crop images a bit more aggressively. The newer LX100 is going to have an advantage in sensor technology.
