Panasonic SZ7 vs Sony A9 II Overview
Its time to look a bit more in depth at the Panasonic SZ7 and Sony A9 II, one being a Small Sensor Compact and the latter is a Pro Mirrorless by companies Panasonic and Sony. There is a huge difference among the image resolutions of the SZ7 (14MP) and A9 II (24MP) and the SZ7 (1/2.3") and A9 II (Full frame) have different sensor sizing.

Generally, it is very hard to picture the gap in sensor measurements only by looking through a spec sheet. The photograph here should provide you a greater sense of the sensor measurements in the SZ7 and A9 II.
Clearly, both of the cameras feature different resolutions and different sensor measurements. The SZ7 because of its smaller sensor is going to make shooting shallow depth of field trickier and the Sony A9 II will render greater detail having its extra 10MP. Higher resolution will enable you to crop shots way more aggressively. The older SZ7 will be disadvantaged in sensor technology.
