Pentax P70 vs Sony QX100 Overview
Below, we are evaluating the Pentax P70 and Sony QX100, former being a Ultracompact while the other is a Lens-style by competitors Pentax and Sony. There is a sizable difference among the resolutions of the P70 (12MP) and QX100 (20MP) and the P70 (1/2.3") and QX100 (1") come with totally different sensor dimensions.

The P70 was introduced 5 years earlier than the QX100 and that is a fairly significant difference as far as camera tech is concerned. Each of these cameras come with different body type with the Pentax P70 being a Ultracompact camera and the Sony QX100 being a Lens-style camera.
