Pentax RZ18 vs Sony QX1 Overview
Below is a in depth assessment of the Pentax RZ18 and Sony QX1, former being a Small Sensor Superzoom while the latter is a Lens-style by rivals Pentax and Sony. The image resolution of the RZ18 (16MP) and the QX1 (20MP) is relatively comparable but the RZ18 (1/2.3") and QX1 (APS-C) have totally different sensor measurements.

The RZ18 was introduced 4 years earlier than the QX1 and that is a fairly large difference as far as camera technology is concerned. Both of the cameras have different body design with the Pentax RZ18 being a Compact camera and the Sony QX1 being a Lens-style camera.
Before delving right into a detailed comparison, here is a simple introduction of how the RZ18 grades against the QX1 for portability, imaging, features and an overall grade.
