Pentax X70 vs Sigma DP1 Merrill Overview

Below, we are reviewing the Pentax X70 and Sigma DP1 Merrill, former is a Small Sensor Superzoom while the other is a Large Sensor Compact by manufacturers Pentax and Sigma. The resolution of the X70 (12MP) and the DP1 Merrill (15MP) is very similar but the X70 (1/2.3") and DP1 Merrill (APS-C) use different sensor measurements.

The X70 was launched 3 years prior to the DP1 Merrill which is quite a significant difference as far as technology is concerned. Both of these cameras come with different body type with the Pentax X70 being a SLR-like (bridge) camera and the Sigma DP1 Merrill being a Large Sensor Compact camera.
