Its time to look more closely at the Sony TX7 and Sony A35, one is a Ultracompact and the latter is a Entry-Level DSLR and they are both sold by Sony. There exists a huge gap between the sensor resolutions of the TX7 (10MP) and A35 (16MP) and the TX7 (1/2.4") and A35 (APS-C) offer totally different sensor sizes.
