Charge & Store your Leica M11 with a 3D Printed Dock
C

Are you tired of dealing with pesky charging cables? Do you wish you could simply place your camera on a dock and have it charge effortlessly? Well, now you can!

Introducing the 3D printable dock for the Leica M11, developed by Fatih Arslan. This innovative dock allows you to conveniently charge your camera by simply placing it on your desk. Just plug in the cable, which connects automatically to your camera as you rest it down.

Now, it’s important to note that this dock is designed specifically for the Leica M11, so it may be considered a niche product. Additionally, the design and features of your camera will determine if this dock is compatible with it.

Not all cameras have a USB-C charging socket like the Leica M11 does, which is what allows it to charge the battery within the camera.

If you’re interested in trying out Fatih’s Leica M11 dock, you can 3D print it yourself. Keep in mind that the files are not free and you will also need to acquire the appropriate cable with the right plug. Fatih recommends using a right-angled USB-C cable from UGreen.

The Leica M11 Charging Dock addresses this pain point by providing an elegant solution. The dock is custom-made and has undergone weeks of design and prototypes to ensure its functionality and compatibility with the M11 body.

To make things even easier, the charging dock features a small LED cutout that reflects the bottom charging LED of the camera, allowing you to easily see if your camera is charging or not.

If you happen to own both a Leica M11 and a 3D printer, the STL files for this charging dock are available for purchase.

Keep in mind that the price tag is set at $49, which may seem expensive, but hey, as a Leica owner, you’re accustomed to premium quality and the cost of accessories. Consider it as equivalent to buying a new lens cap.
