Leica M9-P vs Sony ZV-E1

In this write-up, we are reviewing the Leica M9-P and Sony ZV-E1, both Pro Mirrorless digital cameras by manufacturers Leica and Sony. There exists a large gap between the sensor resolutions of the M9-P (18MP) and ZV-E1 (12MP) but they come with the same exact sensor sizes (Full frame).

The M9-P was brought out 12 years prior to the ZV-E1 and that is quite a serious difference as far as technology is concerned. Each of the cameras offer the identical body type (Rangefinder-style mirrorless).

The Leica M9-P features external measurements of 139mm x 80mm x 37mm (5.5" x 3.1" x 1.5") accompanied by a weight of 600 grams (1.32 lbs) whilst the Sony ZV-E1 has dimensions of 121mm x 72mm x 54mm (4.8" x 2.8" x 2.1") having a weight of 483 grams (1.06 lbs).

To sum up, both of those cameras enjoy the same exact sensor sizing but not the same resolution. You can anticipate the Leica M9-P to offer more detail having its extra 6 Megapixels. Greater resolution will also allow you to crop images far more aggressively. The older M9-P is going to be disadvantaged when it comes to sensor tech.
