Samsung CL80 vs Sony NEX-6

Lets look closer at the Samsung CL80 and Sony NEX-6, former is a Ultracompact while the other is a Advanced Mirrorless by rivals Samsung and Sony. The resolution of the CL80 (14MP) and the NEX-6 (16MP) is very close but the CL80 (1/2.3") and NEX-6 (APS-C) boast different sensor sizing.

The CL80 was manufactured 4 years earlier than the NEX-6 which is a fairly significant difference as far as camera technology is concerned. Each of these cameras have different body design with the Samsung CL80 being a Ultracompact camera and the Sony NEX-6 being a Rangefinder-style mirrorless camera.

The Samsung CL80 has outside measurements of 104mm x 58mm x 20mm (4.1" x 2.3" x 0.8") accompanied by a weight of 160 grams (0.35 lbs) whilst the Sony NEX-6 has measurements of 120mm x 67mm x 43mm (4.7" x 2.6" x 1.7") along with a weight of 345 grams (0.76 lbs).

Greater resolution will make it easier to crop images more aggressively. The more aged CL80 will be disadvantaged with regard to sensor innovation.
