Its time to look more closely at the Canon SX70 HS versus Sony ZV-1, former being a Small Sensor Superzoom while the other is a Large Sensor Compact by manufacturers Canon and Sony. The image resolution of the SX70 HS (20MP) and the ZV-1 (20MP) is very close but the SX70 HS (1/2.3") and ZV-1 (1") provide totally different sensor size.
