Sigma SD14 vs Sony HX7V

There is a large difference among the resolutions of the SD14 (5MP) and HX7V (16MP) and the SD14 (APS-C) and HX7V (1/2.3") offer totally different sensor sizing.

The SD14 was unveiled 5 years prior to the HX7V and that is a fairly serious difference as far as camera tech is concerned. Both of these cameras feature different body design with the Sigma SD14 being a Mid-size SLR camera and the Sony HX7V being a Compact camera.

The Sigma SD14 enjoys external measurements of 144mm x 107mm x 81mm (5.7" x 4.2" x 3.2") along with a weight of 750 grams (1.65 lbs) and the Sony HX7V has proportions of 102mm x 58mm x 29mm (4.0" x 2.3" x 1.1") along with a weight of 208 grams (0.46 lbs).
