Big Photo Show Returns to NYC
B

Are you a photography enthusiast? Looking for a way to satisfy your itch for great visuals and audio artistry? Well, look no further! B&H is presenting the inaugural Bild Expo at the famous Javits Center in New York City on September 6 and 7.

This event aims to fill the void left after the cancellation of the PhotoPlus Expo, and it’s bound to be a world-class experience.

Previously known as Create NYC, the annual PhotoPlus tradeshow has rebranded and is now coming back this year. While Create NYC’s website still has the address for the old PhotoPlus Expo, details about the show are nowhere to be found. This leaves photographers and videographers wondering if it will actually happen. But fear not! The Bild Expo 2023 is here to save the day.

Named after the Yiddish word for “image,” the Bild Expo represents B&H’s long-standing commitment to supporting visual and audio artistry. This expo promises to be an amazing experience for attendees. With presentations, a gear expo, contests, photo walks, portfolio reviews, and special equipment deals, there’s something for everyone.

Prepare to be inspired by the impressive lineup of speakers. Renowned photographers such as Art Wolfe, Ami Vitale, Mark Seliger, and many more will grace the stage. Find the full schedule on the Bild website and plan your visit accordingly.

But that’s not all! The expo offers even more exciting activities. You can sign up for a portfolio review to get valuable feedback on your work. Explore the Partner Pavilion and get a firsthand look at the latest gear from industry partners. Immerse yourself in the world of photography, videography, and audio experiences.

Take part in photo walks to capture magical moments. And don’t miss the B&H Bild Camera Museum, where you can delve into significant imaging moments from the past 50 years.

If you have old gear you no longer need, B&H’s used department will be onsite. They will offer checks, B&H gift cards, and store credit for your equipment, no matter how old it is.

Did we mention that the Bild Expo is free? All you need to do is register to secure your spot. This event is sponsored by major players in the photo and video industry, including Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, Sigma, Sony, and many more.

While dates for future events have not been announced, it seems that B&H intends for Bild to become an annual tradition. As the event’s FAQ page suggests, there may be opportunities to speak at next year’s expo.

So keep an eye out for future Bild Expos—it would be amazing to see a photography extravaganza become a regular part of New York City’s calendar.
