Aputure has just introduced two new versions of their existing modifiers. These are called the Aputure Light Dome III and the Aputure Light Dome Mini III. The Light Dome III is a large softbox with a 90cm diameter, while the Light Dome Mini III is a smaller version with a 60cm diameter.
Both of these softboxes offer the ability to create soft and beautiful light for photographers and filmmakers. They also have some practical advantages when it comes to setting up and packing away.
The new design allows for a faster setup and teardown time, which is great for efficiency.
Additionally, these new modifiers can be packed up smaller, which is useful for storage and traveling. It’s always a relief when gear takes up less space when it’s not being used.
The major difference between these new versions and the previous models, the Light Dome II and Light Dome Mini II, is the new fast-setup folding speed ring. The diameter and output remain the same, but the new design allows for a more compact form when packed up.
If you already have the previous versions of these modifiers and you’re satisfied with them, there’s no need to upgrade. However, if you find them a little inconvenient to bring on-location, it might be worth considering the new versions.
The Aputure Light Dome III can be pre-ordered now for $219, while the Aputure Light Dome Mini III is also available for pre-order at $129. Don’t miss out on these versatile modifiers for stunning lighting in your photography!
