Panasonic F5 Lens details
The F5 features a built-in lens having a focal range of 28-140mm making it a 5.0 x zoom which may not be very good but it is going to be very helpful in a few cases.
At it's widest 28mm, it has an aperture of f3.2 which is kind of sluggish and not the best for low light occasions and you will probably find it difficult to get good bokeh. You will also have to raise your ISO setting giving you noisy files. For the long end, 140mm comes to f6.5 which is quite slow and you might have to choose slow shutter speeds.
Panasonic F5 Connectivity
The F5 has the following connectivity:
- USB Yes
Cameras that incorporate NFC and Bluetooth compatibility can be used wirelessly through smartphones. You can easily copy pictures and at times change camera settings without connecting straight with the camera.
Many apps also allow a Liveview and click the shutter when you aren't near the camera. If the camera comes with a HDMI port, it can be hooked up to an external screen. Many cameras will allow you to recharge the battery using the USB socket.
Panasonic F5 Video details
The maximum video resolution on the Panasonic F5 is 1280 x 720 and you can record in Motion JPEG format. 720p is low for today's standards. You should really try to get at least FUll HD resolution for good video. The body doesn't feature a microphone and headphone socket which means that you get absolutely no control over the sound. It is perhaps best to have a look at an alternative camera in case you want good sound for your video clips.
Panasonic F5 Weather Sealing
There is no weather sealing in the Panasonic F5 so you have to be cautious in rainy and dusty situations.

Unfortunately the display is not a touch screen.
