Disney and LEGO unite for an enchanting 100-year anniversary edition
D

Disney and Lego come together in a truly magical way with the Disney Tribute Camera Lego set. This set, celebrating 100 years of Disney, features a remarkable Lego replica of an old cinema camera. It’s the perfect addition to your shelf.

The star of the kit is the film camera itself, paying homage to Disney and the 100th anniversary of the studio. The film reel is shaped like the number 100 and there’s a cute film strip that wraps around the camera.

It showcases classic Disney movies, all recreated using Lego bricks. Imagine seeing The Jungle Book, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, and more in Lego form. It’s such a wonderful concept.

In addition to the camera, the set includes a black and white display stand featuring figures of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, resembling their first appearance in the 1928 classic, Steamboat Willie.

It also includes the first-ever Lego figurine of Walt Disney himself. And let’s not forget the special bricks that allow you to build your own Disney characters like Bambi and Dumbo. With 811 bricks in total, you’ll have plenty to play with.

Lego has created various camera replicas over the years, ranging from the Olympus OM-1 to the Nikon F3, and even a miniature Leica M and a Hasselblad 503CX.

Lego enthusiasts have also built functional camera gear like follow focus rigs, camera sliders, pinhole cameras, and even working lenses. This Disney tribute set follows in the footsteps of previous Lego sets dedicated to iconic landscape photographer Ansel Adams.

The Disney Lego kit will be available later this year. The official release date is September 1, and it will be priced at $99 USD. However, if you can’t wait until then, it seems that the set is already available for purchase on the French website Fnac.

Make sure to grab one for yourself and add a touch of Disney magic to your photography collection.
