Portable Camera Fan with OLED Display and Rechargeable Battery for $20!
P

Ulanzi recently introduced a camera cooling fan that is powered by its own internal battery. This fan can be attached to the backs of Sony, Canon, and Fujifilm camera bodies to prevent overheating while recording videos or live streaming.

Ulanzi designed the Camera Cooling Fan to provide reliable and efficient cooling for cameras that may not have dedicated active cooling systems. The fan is mounted to the back using suction cups, ensuring a secure and stable attachment.

To mount the fan, simply apply the film to the camera, align it, and press to achieve a firm suction that will not easily deform or detach, according to Ulanzi.

The fan offers two speed settings: low and high, with an option to turn it off completely. It features a built-in 200mAh battery that can last up to 85 minutes on Mode 1 (low speed for silent cooling) or up to 70 minutes on Mode 2 (high speed for rapid cooling).

The fan is equipped with a single button that allows users to toggle between the different modes. On the back, there is a small OLED display that shows the camera’s temperature, the fan level, and the remaining battery power.

The Camera Cooling Fan can be charged via USB-C, but it can also be connected to an external power bank or a wall outlet for continuous use.

Ulanzi states that the fan is compatible with various camera models, specifically mentioning Sony ZV-E1, ZV-E10, a7R IV, a7 SIII, a7C, FX30, and a6700, Canon R8, R7, R6 Mark II, R5, as well as Fujifilm X-S10, X-T4, X-H2S, and X-S20.

While attaching an external fan to extend recording times is not a new concept, Ulanzi offers its solution at a more affordable price compared to existing options.

For instance, Fujifilm sells a cooling fan accessory at a higher cost of $200, which relies on the camera for power and does not have an internal battery. Ulanzi’s Camera Cooling Fan, on the other hand, provides multiple fan modes, an OLED display for monitoring the camera’s temperature, and independent power.

Ulanzi aims to redefine expectations for cooling fans in terms of features and affordability, similar to how third-party manufacturers are innovating camera batteries.

The Ulanzi Camera Cooling Fan is currently available for pre-order at a discounted price of $20, with shipping expected to begin on August 30. It comes in silver or black color options.
