Peakto introduces text search to simplify photo finding.

There’s a new feature in Peakto, the photo organizer designed exclusively for Apple computers, called Conversational Search. This feature allows editors to find specific photos by simply describing them in text prompts.

Peakto isn’t a photo editor by itself, but rather works with various photo editing apps like Adobe Lightroom, DxO, Capture One, Skylum Luminar Neo, Pixelmator, and more.

Photographers often struggle with the large number of images they have across multiple drives, and the fact that photo editing applications aren’t compatible with each other makes it even harder to find specific images they have accumulated over the years.

To make things easier, Peakto has introduced artificial intelligence (AI) text-based search. Now photographers can describe the content of a photo, and Peakto will search through their entire photo library for matching results based on what the AI recognizes in the photos.

“With this cutting-edge functionality, users can effortlessly find their desired photos by simply describing them. Peakto’s intelligent AI will identify and present matching images,” explains the company.

This new feature enhances Peakto’s universal cataloging aspect, allowing users to search through all their photos regardless of the storage location or the software used for editing.

The cataloger already organizes photos based on topics, colors, and an “aesthetic score,” which is the AI’s selection of the best photos from a series.

Peakto also enables photographers to annotate photos from a single interface, even if they are stored in different photo editing software and folders. Once the photos are found and organized, they can be exported in batches at full resolution, or at varied resolutions for social sharing, with metadata included.

The software is only available for Mac computers and is accessible via a subscription or one-time payment. The monthly subscription is priced at $10, while the one-time purchase for a single computer costs $189.

The company offers a new annual plan that reduces the cost by 50% compared to the monthly fee, setting it at $60 per year. You can find the software on CYME.io or the Mac App Store.
