Tamron has a new prime lens for the Sony E-mount. Model ‘F050’ is the third in the range of prime lenses for Sony – joining the already existing 24mm and 35mm lenses by Tamron.
The Sony E-mount has the widest range of third party Lens support. Sony’s decision early on to open their mount and make it easy for anyone to manufacture lenses has been a differentiator for them.
Tamron is highlighting the close focusing distance of the lens at a mere 11cm. The lens has a 67mm filter diameter weighing in at 220 grams and is launching on the 30th of January for $599.
